Chateau Palmer Margaux 2012 750ml

$597.00 including GST

Description

The wine is opaque purple and has a lovely aroma of blueberry and blackberry fruit, licorice, incense, and graphite. It also has a breathtakingly well-integrated acidity, tannin, and alcohol, a finish that lasts for about 45 seconds, and a full-bodied mouthfeel.

Mahler Besse and Sichel, two well-known and reputable business families, continue to be the two largest shareholders of Chateau Palmer. There are 22 different Chateau Palmer shareholders in all.

Back in the 1950s, when Frederick Mahler was the company’s principal stakeholder, Jean Bouteiller, Frederick Mahler’s son-in-law, oversaw management of Chateau Palmer. Jean Bouteiller retired from her position as Chateau Palmer’s director in 2004 after forty-two years of service.

Thomas Duroux, a youthful and enthusiastic agronomic and oenologist, took over for Jean Bouteiller in 2004. Thomas Duroux was able to do this after managing estates in Italy for a while and coming back to Bordeaux. The magnificent Medoc Château Château Palmer has reached a golden age since Thomas Duroux’s arrival.
