Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 2004 Pauillac – 2Eme Cru Classe

$391.00 including GST

Description

It has a deep ruby or purple hue and aromas of chocolate, espresso roast, black cherries, and cassis. The flavour is medium- to full-bodied, rich, and meaty. Currant, floral, and berry aromas lead to a medium- to full-bodied palate with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Round and really stroking.

The Pichon Baron estate was founded in the late 17th Century, often known as the Grand Siècle, after Louis XIV’s accession to the French throne in 1661. In 1855, the producing region was designated as a Second Cru Classé, making it one of Bordeaux’s great historic vineyards. The creation of a Grand Vin Château Pichon Baron has gained an endearing reputation and has continued the legacy in the same family for several generations, thanks to a strict selection procedure in the vineyard and in the cellars.
