For almost two centuries, this Scotch haven has fashioned a whisky story steeped in history. The Royal Brackla Distillery, located on the Cawdor Estate in the Scottish Highlands, was created in 1812 by Captain William Fraser. Royal Brackla was the first Scotch whisky ever issued a Royal Warrant by King William IV in 1833—the King’s Own Whisky—which still reigns true today. The distillery’s style is lush and fruity, with rich sherry overtones. Every expression of Royal Brackla is completed in the best first-fill sherry barrels supplied straight from Spain to produce a sumptuous conclusion for a noble drink.
