A fantastic 2018 vintage has been produced by Château Barde-Haut, the Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion, in a fantastic year for the Bordeaux area.

The magnificent terroir of Saint-Émilion is expressed in the 2018 Château Barde-Haut, a combination of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

The Château Barde-Haut 2018 has a deep purple hue during the tasting. Rich scents of creme de cassis, blueberry jam, and luscious black fruit leap from the glass in a highly fragrant nose. After that, the wine develops spicy notes of cinnamon and cigar box fragrances, which are accentuated by liquorice and crisp anise. The wine is constructed with strong, velvety tannins and exquisite aromas of fruit and spice. It threads a lot of subtle, luscious fruit throughout the palate. Extremely flavorful and crisp, with a lengthy aftertaste. Characteristic Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion, an excellent vintage of Château Barde-Haut.
