Description

Château Chasse-Spleen, located in the Moulis appellation in the heart of the Médoc, was established in 1720. Its name, “Chasse-Spleen,” was adopted in 1863 and is influenced by Anglo-Saxon culture and Baudelaire. Céline Villars has managed the estate since 2000.

Château Chasse-Spleen Moulis 2019 presents a gentle vanilla nose with deep aromas of cherries, blackberries, and blackcurrant, as well as withered rose petals. This 2019 vintage has a refreshing and full-bodied assault. At this early stage, the palate is rich and supple, with soft tannins and some fresh wood. This excellent Bordeaux wine has a long and persistent finish. The 2019 Château Chasse-Spleen will peak in 2025 and can easily age until 2045.
