This exceptional wine has one of Saint Estèphe’s best aromas—more fruit concentration, blackberry and raspberry coupled with iodine. This wine seems to have bloomed in the bottle, both on the nose and on the tongue. The palate is medium-bodied, with meaty and luscious tannins. It has weight and presence, with a muscular finish that lacks refinement but boasts good fruit intensity.

Château Phélan Ségur has been proudly viewing the Gironde estuary since the early nineteenth century, and its vineyard is separated into four unique plots, all of which are located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

Château Phélan Ségur is a Saint-Estèphe wine sourced from a 70-hectare vineyard. The vines are 35 years old on average and grow on a clayey gravel terroir.
