The 2017 Smith Haut Lafitte is medium to deep garnet-purple in color, with powerful expressions of heated redcurrants, baked blackberries, and crème de cassis, as well as undertones of spice cake, dried roses, underbrush, pencil lead, and candied violets. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a magnificent core of tightly packed red and black fruits, framed by beautifully ripe, rounded tannins and seamless freshness, lingering long and fragrant.

Château Smith Haut Lafite, located in the heart of the Graves area, represents the pinnacle of Bordeaux winemaking skill. With a centuries-long history, this estate, which mostly produces red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is committed to organic and biodynamic principles.
