Originating from a recipe dating back to 1775, Citadelle Gin was first distilled in Dunkirk’s citadel under the reign of Louis XVI, who bestowed his royal approval. This remarkably smooth and floral gin is a timeless classic, produced through slow distillation in small copper pot stills heated by an open flame. This method gently infuses 18 sun-dried botanicals to achieve perfect balance. Renowned spirits critic F. Paul Pacult praised it as “what gin was meant to be.”

The nose reveals pronounced juniper alongside subtle orange and lively cardamom spice notes. On the palate, it delivers a pure, refreshing juniper character unfolding into vibrant citrus, finishing clean, dry, and peppery. Best enjoyed with East Imperial Burma or Fever-Tree Indian tonic water.
