Compass Box Spice Tree 700ml

Compass Box Spice Tree represents a remarkable return to form since its triumphant relaunch in September 2009, following an absence of more than three years from its original 2005 debut. This distinguished single malt whisky is meticulously crafted predominantly from carefully selected malts sourced from the northern Highlands, each matured to approximately ten years of age.

The complexity of Spice Tree emerges through a sophisticated dual-maturation process. The spirit is initially aged in first- and second-fill American oak casks, imparting characteristic depth and structure. Subsequently, it undergoes a secondary maturation in specially prepared barrels featuring heavily-toasted heads crafted from century-old Vosges French oak, which contributes distinctive nuance and refinement to the final expression.

The result is an exceptionally spicy and richly textured whisky. Upon nosing, one discovers a luxuriously complex bouquet revealing pronounced grain characteristics complemented by sumptuous ripe fruit notes. This harmonious balance of heat, depth, and fruit-forward elegance makes Compass Box Spice Tree an exceptional choice for the discerning whisky enthusiast seeking both character and sophistication.
