Description

In 1263, Colin of Kintail, Chief of Clan Mackenzie, stood his ground and felled a charging stag that threatened King Alexander III of Scotland. In gratitude, the King granted the Clan the 12-pointed Royal Stag emblem. When Clan Mackenzie descendants took ownership of The Dalmore distillery in 1867, they honoured this courageous deed by placing the emblem on the bottle—a tradition that continues today.

To celebrate the Clan’s pioneering spirit, The Dalmore’s Master Distiller has brought together whisky matured in six cask types: ex-bourbon, Matusalem oloroso sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port and Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Their union creates a distinctive single malt with a complex character and a smooth finish.
