This wine exemplifies why the Yarra Valley is recognized as a leading Chardonnay region, offering a delightful combination of fresh citrus and stone fruit notes balanced by a vibrant acidity. The aromatics echo the palate, where bright fruit is complemented by a creamy texture leading to a clean and refreshing finish.

The 2019 vintage experienced an early harvest due to an overall warm season. Favourable conditions of cool weather and consistent rain leading up to Christmas ensured good soil moisture and healthy vines, allowing for a slow start to the growing season. The subsequent months of January and February were dry and relatively mild, although nighttime temperatures were slightly higher than average. This allowed the fruit to achieve full ripeness with ease, making precise picking crucial to maintain the wine’s natural acidity. Our grapes were hand-harvested at the end of February, followed by whole-bunch pressing and settling in tank before being transferred to both tank and barrel for fermentation.The wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months. A portion was aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics, while the remainder was aged in a mix of old and new French oak barrels to enhance its complexity.
