Description

This wine is full-bodied and robust, with a delightful texture. Saline notes emerge toward the conclusion, along with a lovely length on the palate, which is due to the quality of the terroir.

This wine combines well with canapés and poultry.

Mr Chapoutier's 2017 Riesling "Lieu-dit Fels" from Domaine Schieferkopf is crafted from vines grown on Villé blue schist and ancient Precambrian subsoil. The parcel from which it comes is south-east facing, has a 30% slope, and is subject to strong winds, allowing the wine to exhibit a delicate minerality.
