Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi 2017 750ml

The 2017 Taurasi Radici is a force to be reckoned with, bursting from the glass with loads of raspberries, currants, and plums, accented by an array of seasonal spices and crushed violets. Its textural depth and density are impressive, smooth and almost creamy, but well balanced by a core of mineral-laced dark fruits and crisp acids, as an air of inner rose and cloves forms near the end. The 2017 is persistent and structured, but also incredibly fresh, with delicate tannins framing its smoky mineral tones and lingering undertones of cherry and olive.

This is a lovely rendition of Radici that should provide readers a somewhat earlier drinking window than usual. That being said, we're dealing about Taurasi here, and this wine has a very promising future.
