This aged Single Malt offers a deep and sophisticated tasting experience shaped by two decades of maturation exclusively in sherry casks. On the palate, it boasts a robust, oily texture that coats the mouth, balanced by vivid citrus aromas. The whisky reveals a rich meatiness reminiscent of BBQ pig crackling, subtly intertwined with delicate wood notes that add complexity. Layers of berries, jam, and chocolate nibs introduce vibrant fruity and sweet nuances, creating a compelling contrast. The finish is long and intricate, evolving through warming gingerbread spices, dried raisins, and a subtle hint of liquorice.

This expression stands as the oldest among Mortlach’s trio released in 2018, exemplifying the distillery’s signature intense and multi-dimensional flavour profile.
