San Giorgio Ciampoleto Rosso Di Montalcino 2020 750ml

The San Giorgio estate vineyards are part of the Collemassari Group of estates, and the vines are managed and vinified by the same world-class winemaking staff as Tuscan icons Poggio di Sotto and Grattamacco. Produced from younger grapes (10-15 years old), this wine is aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak casks and concrete vats.

The core is dark red, with black-shaded margins and a red to dark red tint. Aromas of red cherry and currant are followed by dusty earth, tobacco, and spicy dried herb aromas. Delicious red currant and red cherry fruits adorn the delicate mid-weighted tongue, with earth, tobacco, and dried herb notes beneath. Spicy finish with slightly dry tannins, superb freshness, and a lingering savoury red fruit aftertaste.
