Ultimatum Rum T.D.L 25 Years 700ml

Another fabulous single barrel rum selection from Dutch independent bottlers Ultimatum. Expect a heady, thickly flavoured and heavy spirit, with plenty of dark molasses notes, tropical fruit, slight esters and cake-like yeasty notes.

Ultimatum has selected an outstanding gem of a rum, a 25-year-old single barrel matured in a former Bourbon cask, number 2487. This rum, which was first distilled in December 1991 and bottled on July 28, 2017, has aged tremendously.

Ultimatum has created a label that is low on marketing fluff and great on detail, which will undoubtedly thrill rum enthusiasts throughout the world. The label indicates that this is a “English style” rum, which does not imply that any of it was manufactured in England, but rather that it adheres to the former British Colonial style of spirit, which is often darker and heavier.

Furthermore, it adds that this spirit includes no added sugar or colouring and has not undergone chill filtration, implying that all of the exquisite flavours of this rum are there naturally. This is a rarity in the rum industry.
