Very ripe dark-plum and espresso aromas. This has a very succulent array of fresh dark berries with a smooth and juicy resolve. Fresh and elegant line displaying the full character of the impressive Cafayate Valley. This wine pairs well with roast meats, cheeses, and quince.

Karim never stops looking for distinctive terroir expressions. His love affair with Cafayate, a high, elevated desert in Salta at 1,750 meters above sea level (the birthplace of Torrontés and the great Malbecs), is the beginning of Abras, the first chapter of a lengthy tale. We get more mineral and authentic expressions from fruit from vines that are over 30 years old and planted in alluvial soils at the valley’s base. We use this elf gateway to enter the stunning wine world of the Calchaquí Valley, just as the Incas used the Abras as pathways to traverse the Andes Mountains.
