Description

The bouquet is exceptionally transparent and pure, with smells of red and black cherry, cocoa, violets, and a wonderful base of soil, gamebird, and vanillin oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, and quite sappy in the core, with a superb soil signature, smooth, silky tannins, and a very long, energetic, and beautifully balanced finish.

Hubert Lignier in the “Clos de la Roche” is part of a 0.33-hectare tract. The vineyard follows logical viticulture and ancient philosophy principles: “The exceptional quality of the wine, primarily depends on the health of the vines,” thus pesticides against diseases and pests in the vineyards are only used in emergencies, and damaged bunches are not utilized for wine production. Pinot Noir grapes range in age from 32 to 42 years. Hand harvested. Grapes undergo a 5-day cold maceration with frequent pizhazhem. The fermentation is then carried out on natural yeasts in open vessels neutral at a highly controlled temperature for 15-20 days. The wine is bottled without filtration after 18 months of maturing in oak barrels (50% fresh).

The wine made from Pinot Noir was refined and noble, according to the principles of Lignier Hubert, in the manufacture of the extract to prevent excessive wine and powerful maturation in oak barrels. Wine storage capacity of 25 years or more.
