Antinori Tignanello 2018 750ml

Tignanello is an iconic and important wine. Highly enjoyable, age worthy and always a great addition to the dinner table.

On first glance, the 2018 vintage appears to be a deconstructed Tignanello because the varietal typicity of the grapes is clearly discernible, particularly the green spice and white pepper of the two Cabernets, as well as aromas of crushed limestone reminiscent of the white rocks carefully placed in the vineyards to protect the rows. The wine’s fruit weight is balanced and refined, with no exaggerations, excesses, or loose ends.

The Tignanello vineyard has 57 hectares and is 390 meters above sea level, with alberese and galestro soils. These elevations were critical for shedding surplus humidity at the end of the 2018 growth season. This superb wine was produced in an astonishing 345,000 bottles.
