Glenlivet 15 Years French Oak 700ml

The 15 Year Old derives its particular rich and exotic character from a process of selected maturation in which a portion of the spirit matures in French oak casks. In fact, The Glenlivet was one of the first to use French wood for whisky production, a process that has now been replicated all over the world.

The Limousin oak we utilize is harvested in France’s Dordogne region, which is commonly used to mature cognacs. Its low density allows whiskey to sink deep into the wood, and we carefully monitor how long it develops in the casks to avoid overpowering the desired result: a distinct, agreeable spice.
