Basil Hayden’s Artfully Aged Bourbon Whiskey 700ml

Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. developed a formula for the renowned Bourbon that bears his name in 1796. Extra aged and bottled at 40% alcohol by volume, Basil Hayden’s is presented in a handsome pre-prohibition style bottle. Compared to other bourbons, the whiskey has a higher rye content, which gives it an exceptionally spicy and sweet flavour.

Pale amber in hue. Aromas of charred wood, toffee, almonds, and sweet corn have a slight edge. A round, lively palate with notes of caramel, maize, and oak give way to a dry, medium-to full-bodied palate that is somewhat lean. Warm notes of toffee, cinnamon, and drying wood linger toward the finish.
