Ichiro’s Malt Wine Wood Reserve Whisky 700ml

Ichiro’s Malt Wine Wood Reserve is made from malt that was distilled in the now-defunct Hanyu distillery and aged, vatted, and bottled at the Chichibu distillery. This version was finished in ex-wine casks made of French oak.

Fragrant with red wine and oak wood overtones. Later, more red fruits and berries appear, followed by dark chocolate with a tinge of orange flavor. Spicy on the front end with a peppery edge, almonds, chocolate, and red fruits. Bittersweet with lingering mild wood notes, sherried spices, and a touch of chocolate.
