Mars Komagatake Sherry & American White Oak 2011 is a wonderful blend of single malts aged in sherry casks and American white oak barrels. This young whisky is surprisingly intense and full of flavours. Sweet, caramel, toffee, candies, strawberries, coffee aromas and lovely peat hiding among them all. On the palate, lightly creamy, nutty, dash of pepper, spices, malty. Water brings out even more of the wonderful peat. With long then peat comes through again, with the pepper and nutty notes hanging on finish.
