A brand new limited release in September 2017, Miyagikyo Moscatel Wood Finish is a single malt aged and finished in ex-Moscatel wine casks for a year. Moscatel is a fortified white wine from Portugal produced using sweet muscat grapes. On the nose fresh muscat and sweet malt aroma. Cask woodiness. On the palate, there is an evident muscat grapes, sweet fruitiness and cask aroma. Long, sweet finish of dried fruit and cask bitterness. Lingering full body
