Chateau Lagrange Saint Julien 2020 750ml

The 2020 Lagrange is a good follow-up to the fantastic 2019. It has scents of crème de cassis and plums, as well as traces of violets, licorice, pencil shavings, and vanilla pod. It’s medium to full-bodied, meaty, and layered, with a deep core of ripe but bright fruit framed by powdery tannins that assert themselves with a delicate grip on the end.

The tale of Château Lagrange revolves around second chances. The legendary Third Growth property has a comeback story to rival Château Margaux’s phenomenal rebirth.
