The Dominican Republic is well-known for both its beautiful beaches and its high-quality rum. The Ron Quorhum 12 year old is the successor to the Ron Quorhum 9 year old, which was created using the conventional pot-still process at Oliver & Oliver distillery. This rum was aged in high-quality oak barrels that had previously held bourbon whisky. A distinguishing feature of all Quorhum varietals is that 15% of the contents of the younger barrel are fed into the older barrel. This high-quality and probably peculiar composition gives the rum a distinct flavour and a highly noble hue.
