This gorgeous golden yellow wine exhibits significant aromatic characteristics. Extremely fresh; soft and meaty. It’s a lengthy, strong wine. Perfect with roast chicken with lemon sauce or steamed sea and river fish with butter sauce. Creamy scallops and fillets of Normandy sole. As an aperitif, it can also be consumed unadorned.
The Gilles Morat estate is located in Burgundy, in the Mâconnais. Situated next to the Roches de Solutré site in the commune of Vergisson, it encompasses two appellations: Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran. The family land was taken over by Gilles Morat in 1997, and he also bought additional holdings that would eventually make up the estate. His kid began working for the family business in 2020.
The estate has been practicing more conscientious viticulture since 2001, and in 2022 it received the “Organic Viticulture” certification. Two Saint-Véran and six Pouilly-Fuissé vintages are made overall. Because of the many different types of soils, altitudes, and exposures, there is a significant range of terroirs, which results in wines that are true to their unique qualities.
