This excellent wine has a balanced fragrance that blends juicy blueberry and raspberry flavors with flinty mineral overtones. On the palate, there is a strong salty punch with crisp tannins. The finish is quite traditional, revealing mineral accents.

The Chateau du Tertre, a Fifth Classified Growth from 1855, is a red wine produced in the Margaux area. The 52-hectare vineyard grows on glacial sediments and Garonne gravel. Chateau du Tertre is matured in French oak barrels (50 percent new wood) for 12 to 15 months. The 2016 vintage is comprised of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot.
