Intense shade of crimson. Fresh red berry flavours in its youth change to underbrush smells as it ages. A very deep, substantial wine with a lot of power and richness is supported by a full-bodied, exquisite palate. The expression of a palate of flavours consecutively released at the end of the mouth identifies Corton Bressandes as a Grand Cru. The most elegant Cortons can be seen in the area known as “Bressandes.”
Excellent with aged cheeses, game, and red meat. Aging from 5 to 20 years Patience will pay off!
Manual harvesting is used, and boxes are used to transport the grapes to the winery. Part of the harvest has been de-stemmed. It is placed in vats and allowed to ferment for 18 days. The vinification process enables the production of exquisite and high-quality wines. Following pressing, the wines complete their fermentation in the vats before being transferred to barrels in the cellar to age for 12 to 18 months. To separate the deposits that accumulate at the bottom of barrels as they age, racking is done. A final racking blends the wine before bottling. Before bottling, only very minimal filtration is done.
