Domaine Dujac Morey St Denis 2018 750ml

It features a delicious scent of crushed strawberries and cranberries with subtle incense undertones. On the first taste, the palate is smooth. A generous amount of brambly red fruit is flavoured with sage and a dash of sea salt. The stems add a lovely tertiary flavour to the finish, which gets hotter over time.

Morey-Saint-Denis red wine is sourced from six plots at the foot of the slope, west of the road, and east of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, where the slope is gentle. The plots range in elevation from 249 to 264 meters, and they face northeast to straight south.

The loamy soil is less stony than farther upslope, with patches of Comblanchien limestone fragments.
The plots for the Morey-Saint-Denis village wine are situated on two distinct substratum. Some plots overlie fine deposits that were laid down over millions of years and gradually filled in the fault trough (graben), while others overlie alluvial fan deposits at the valley’s mouth.
