Ruby red in hue. a potent and intricate blend of flora (moss, blond tobacco, and wild fruits). This wine is strong, robust, meaty, and fine all at once. Due to the ideal harmony between the tannins and fruit, a lengthy age period is expected. Wine should only be consumed with highly mature cheeses, marinated game, and spicy foods.

In Ladoix, near the boundary with the Côte de Nuits, a family estate with approximately 15.5 ha of vineyards is situated in the northern portion of the Côte de Beaune (Chorey, Savigny, Aloxe-Corton, and Ladoix). They mostly produce red wines, including 0.5 ha of aligoté, 1.5 ha of chardonnay, and 13.5 hectares of pinot noir. Pierre, his wife Edith, and his cousin Emmanuel oversee the land. Edmond, a retired man, provides invaluable assistance through the use of natural fertilizers, his counsel, and his helpful hands. This cuvée originates from two plots, one of which is 40 years old and installed on marl-limestone subsoil, and the other of which was planted between 1942 and 1958 and is situated on sub-gravelly and filtering clay-limestone soil. Both of these plots are situated on a slope at the entrance to the village of Aloxe Corton.
