Description

A rich red wine. The wine’s complex, pleasant scent offers flavours of red currants and strawberries, accented by hints of wet limestone and wilted rose petals. The wine has a rich, opulent flavour with hints of black fruit, balanced acidity, fine tannins, and a lingering finish. Perfect pair with sophisticated veal meals, roast lamb, roast duck with berry sauce, and aged cheeses.

Small Domain Lignier Hubert is located on Moret-Saint-Denis’s main thoroughfare, Grande Rue. Hubert Lignier is the owner of 8 hectares in Moreh, Zhevre-Shambertene, and Chambolle-Musigny, as well as 1 hectare in “Clos de la Roche.” All was well, and the elderly Hubert had already retired when, in 2004, his son, Romain, died suddenly, and his young wife, American Kelly, grabbed the cellar, stopping not only the export of wines but also the vinification. Only the cooperation of fellow winemakers enabled Hubert and his youngest son, Laurent, to reclaim their domain.

Hubert Domain Lignier now has a strong reputation in professional circles due to the outstanding quality of its wines. The fundamental strategy of the company is “reasonable viticulture.” As a result, it should never be used on wine-damaged bunches. To get a more powerful flavor and fruit flavor, use the “green collection.” Yields in the sector range between 20 and 55 hl/ha, depending on the weather conditions and appellation.
