Classic deep cherry colour with a faint garnet rim, with earthy aromas and flavours of Bing cherry, plum, black currant, and dark raspberry fruit, complemented by cedar, cinnamon, and mocha notes. This wine is richly exquisite, medium to full-bodied, balanced, and has a wonderful silky finish. Should last for another 8-10 years. Pair with earthier foods like braised (short ribs) and grilled red meats, mushroom-based dishes, and tomato-based meat sauces.

Brunello Fattoria la Lecciaia is a high-quality wine made and bottled in the Montalcino district of Siena. This wine is created entirely from Sangiovese grapes grown in medium-textured soil with sand and clay deposits and a cordon speronato training system.

Fattoria La Lecciaia, created by Mauro Pacini in 1983 in Montalcino, spans 60 hectares, 15 of which are vines. At the start of the 2000s, the family purchased another property in Maremma’s Montecucco appellation, and the company was expanded by another 16 hectares of grapes. The magnificent primary cellar is usually that of Montalcino, centered on the Manapetra vineyard, from which the company’s prized Cru comes. The grapes are most valuable because of the great care used during vinification, and the wine is then enhanced by years of age in wood. The end result is real wines that respect tradition while leaving a modern imprint: structured reds with soft and silky tannins over time, delicate fruity aromas, and a wonderful and persistent palate.
