It is a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot mix that blends approachability, depth of flavour, and demonstrated ageing potential. Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2018 has a vibrant ruby red colour and is a wine with considerable aromatic complexity, which is unique to this vintage. Berry, blackberry, raspberry, and red cherry aromas permeate the glass, accented by floral hints of wild rose and spicy notes of pink pepper and liquorice. On the palate, the wine has a good tannic structure that is enveloping and balanced, with a sharp and savoury finish.
