This robust red wine from Italy is prepared organically with the Sangiovese grape varietal. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately transported to the winery. They are meticulously sorted and crushed here. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats under regulated conditions. After fermentation, the strong Ugolforte Brunello di Montalcino is matured for many months in oak barrels.
This organic red wine from Italy is best served at 15-18°C as an accompaniment to lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, ossobuco, or braised chicken in red wine.
The San Giorgio Ugolforte Brunello di Montalcino is a premium organic red wine. It has a delightfully deep, ruby red color. If you tilt the glass slightly, you’ll notice a color change into garnet red at the margins of this barrel-aged wine. After the first swirl, this crimson wine exhibits a high level of depth and richness, similar to what you see at the edge of church windows. The Ugolforte Brunello di Montalcino’s first nose features sour cherries and strawberries. The bouquet’s fruity elements are complemented by barrel-aged aromas and even more fruity, balsamic subtleties.
