Ruby red is the colour of Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva. Along with well-integrated notes of tobacco and toasted oak, as well as a hint of balsamic, the nose displays very rich notes of ripe cherry, red currants, and wild berry fruit. Ample and enveloping, the palate is savoury, velvety in texture, and has gentle tannins. The aftertaste and finish linger for a long time.

Sangiovese and other complementing grapes are blended to create Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva, a testament to Antinori’s historic label that has supported the family’s winemaking traditions over the years. In response to the opening of the new winery Antinori nel Chianti Classico, the family decided to reimagine this Tuscan classic as a high-end, distinctively styled wine. The resulting Riserva is delicate, decisive, and exquisite.

Given that its name is connected to more than a century of history, Villa Antinori is a significant cornerstone. It also signifies continuous advancement. Continuous research for ever-higher quality standards is the one fundamental tenet. Villa Antinori Rosso and Villa Antinori Bianco are two distinct wines that were created from this concept and have a similar love for excellence. In 1928, Marchese Niccolò Antinori created Villa Antinori as a Chianti Classico that would mature and get better with time. Villa Antinori was soon discovered in the most esteemed cellars of high-end hotels, restaurants, royal residences, and embassies. Using typical Trebbiano grapes, Villa Antinori Bianco was created in 1931. A tiny amount of Chardonnay was added in the 1980s to improve the wine’s structure.
