Bertani, one of the most important producers in the Veneto region, was founded in 1857 by two brothers, Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani, who opted to settle in Quinto Di Valpantena, north of Verona. Gaetano Bertani, a student of the renowned Professor Guyot, set out to apply the techniques he learned in Bordeaux to Italian wines, in the spirit of the time of innovation that defined the advancement of modern viticulture, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Bertani rose to prominence in the Veneto region in 1958, when he released Amarone, a legendary wine.
