Tommasi Rafael Valpolicella 2019 750ml

A bright ruby red in colour, its refined and intense nose reveals both floral and fruity tones, with ripe cherries to the fore. It is graceful and silky on the palate, winning you over with its tasty, supple and persistently fresh fruit and light, elegant style. A pleasant aroma of thick raspberry and cherry jam, with savoury flavours of black olives and subtle herbs. The medium-bodied but layered palate has a relaxed feel, with extremely delicate tannins and creamy fruit. Surprisingly good length, helped along by the more savoury ingredients. Delicious.

This excellent red wine pairs well with hard cheeses, spaghetti Bolognese, and veal piccata.
