Tinkerman’s Citrus Supreme Gin 750ml

Citrus Supreme smells strongly of vibrant citrus with a hint of flowers. The top notes are taken by lime zest, elderflower, and lemongrass. Humidity looms behind Juniper. Citrus Supreme Gin toes the line with skill. It has a modern gin character and is bright and strong, yet it is still easily identifiable as gin. Rich, fresh citrus oil notes abound on the more luscious palate.

Zest from lemons and limes, as well as coriander, appear early. Sturdy green juniper and deeper, stronger citrus oil notes—hints of lime leaves and Seville Orange—appears in the midpalate. Then, the end drifts ever so slightly into citrus pith, round spice, and piney juniper. Tinkerman’s Citrus Supreme gin takes the palate on a delightful journey, but every step of the way is packed with citrus flavour.

A. Smith Bowman Distillery’s own “tinkerman,” Master Distiller Brian Prewitt, is launching a brand-new range of distinctive gins dubbed Tinkerman’s Gin.

Limited editions of three Tinkerman’s Gin expressions—Citrus Supreme, Sweet Spice, and Curiously Bright & Complex—will be available at A. Smith Bowman Distillery. Crafting these three gins has taken a great deal of time and patience. With over 20 years of experience in brewing and distilling, Prewitt has spent a great deal of time perfecting the optimum mixtures using juniper and a range of herbs, flowers, spices, fruits, and vegetables.

The Distillery even erected a brand-new copper pot still in 2015 with the intention of experimenting. George, named for the father of the pioneering Bowman brothers, is a pot still at the distillery that is next to Mary. It has bubble cap trays attached, an onion for reflux, and an optional gin basket. Prewitt has plenty of freedom to explore thanks to these qualities, which enable him to produce a wide range of spirits and flavor profiles.
Prewitt set out to make the most refreshing gins in the planet, starting with an exceptionally pure base spirit and then adding carefully chosen botanicals. Following months of “tinkering” and over 30 iterations of the recipe, three distinct expressions became evident.
