Caol Ila 12 Years Old 700ml

A clean, savoury nose with minimal to no traces of smoke. A small amount of water raises almond oil and traditional oilskins  there is still a hint of fresh fruitiness and olive oil. It drinks well at its natural strength the flavour begins sweetly and has a long, pleasant finish that is lightly smoky. A lovely mouthfeel, a little acidity, some salt, and nevertheless the sweeter aromas are present. an intricate harmony of basic tastes. The finish flavour has a lasting, mildly acidic sweetness to it.

This 12-year-old is the Caol Ila distillery’s entry-level bottling. Launched in June 2002, this expression is light and fresh, with that unique Caol Ila smoke. Herbal and fresh. Peppermint leaves are rubbed, stemmy, damp, and smokey. Hickory, smoked ham, and cigar leaves Lemon peels on the dock Good body, oily tar, and delicate smoke on the palate. There are hints of boiling candy. Long, peppery, spicy warmth with a smoky aftertaste.
