Their reduced size means that the spirit has more contact with the wood, amplifying the natural flavors of whisky first matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Smoky peat with coconut and banana aromas. The palate is rich, complex, and smokey. There’s also an unexpected mellow sweetness. Very lengthy, drying, with proper smoke and spice. finish.
