Tomintoul 15 Years Portwood Finish 700ml

Finish in Port casks to impart some sweet, juicy, fragrant notes to the Speyside single malt. This single malt whiskey is described as the ‘ The Gentle Dram’ boasting wonderful character and sophistication in each mouthful.

This dram has been made through a careful selection of aged whisky “finished” in Port oak. The malt whisky was moved from Bourbon casks to hand-picked Port pipes to “end” its maturation for an extended period of time. This “ending” procedure refines the whisky’s attributes, most notably fruity Port sweetness. Tomintoul’s Master Distiller decided that it was time to bottle the whisky at 15 years old, when the malt whisky flavour notes had harmonised with the sweet Portwood characteristics.
