A luscious, fruity wine with loads of blueberries, blackberries, and dark chocolate. There is a lot of depth and structure to this. Polished and structured simultaneously.

The 2019 Talbot is showing beautifully in the glass, with notes of earthy cassis, cherries, smoldering embers, and pencil shavings. Jean-Michel Laporte’s second vintage at this sleepy Saint-Julien vineyard is medium to full-bodied, meaty and juicy, with powdered tannins, zesty acidity, and a savoury aftertaste. This is an estate that will be widely watched in the future.
