Chateau Gazin Pomerol 2016 750ml

$192.00 including GST

Description

The 2016 Gazin has a medium to deep garnet-purple colour and a delightfully fragrant nose of violets, Ceylon tea, cigar box, sandalwood, and fallen leaves over a core of plum preserves, kirsch, and blackberry preserves with a whiff of aniseed. It’s medium-bodied and refined, with a delightfully soft mouthfeel that finishes with bags of elegance, perfume, and persistence. Grape varietal: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc

Château Gazin, a fundamental reference in Pomerol, has a long history. Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of the current owners, the De Bailliencourt dit Courcol family, purchased Château Gazin in 1917.

Château Gazin is a Pomerol wine made from a 26-hectare vineyard planted on a steep terrace with clay-gravel soil. Château Gazin is the largest of the appellation’s crus, located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
