Rich gold. On the nose, there are apples and fresh grapes. Later on, inhalations reveal dried fruits like fig and apricot. The delivery is heavy, slightly oily, and has a drying aftertaste with notes of wood shavings, vanilla, and spicy fruit cake. balanced but youthful. Clearly stated sherry input.

Currently owned by the Edrington Group, Glenturret was established in 1775 and is considered to be among the oldest distilleries in Scotland. The Famous Grouse blend is primarily made up of malt, and the distillery recently created some batches of peated whisky for the Black Grouse blend.
