The colour is a deep reddish amber. Aromas of dried raisins and prunes with undertones of sun-dried tomatoes are delicately rich and indulgent on the palate, with a hint of acidity. It Finishes buttery, with lingering acidity and a tinge of bitterness.

This is the result of the spirit being rigorously matured in sherry-seasoned casks made of top quality and highly valued oak from northern Spain. As with other sherried whiskies, this has a delicately rich and luxurious palate teeming with both fresh and cooked fruit aromas, as one would anticipate from a component used by Yamazaki as a classic flavour depth enhancer.
